Leftovers Shawl

Actually, it’s La La’s simple shawl, but it’s made on smaller needles out of all the leftover yarn from the socks I’ve made.

Leftovers ShawlFinished just in time for the cold weather. As I was making it, I thought I would probably not wear it out, but keep it as a Saturday morning coffee in bed shawl, but I think I might have changed my mind.

  1. Wow! What a brilliant use for sock yarn oddments. That’s what I’ll do with mine once I’ve finished my beekeeper’s quilt!

I never have that much left over, so instead I was thinking about the Mitered Crosses blanket on Ravelry. But I need to knit more socks to have more leftovers!

  3. This is just inspiringly beautiful!

  4. Hope you don’t mind, I’ve put a tiny version of your picture on my blog, with a link to this page. If there is a problem, let me know and I’ll take it off, but it’s so lovely I wanted to share!
