At the start of August I decided to garden for ten minutes a day, come rain or shine. Today that resolution had its first real test. OK, I got a bit damp on a couple of other days, and the weather has been a bit un-summery for most of the month, but today I knew I would get soaked. When I said rain or shine, did I really mean it? I asked myself. I had already said that I wouldn’t garden in really bad weather, like snow or hurricane, but at what point does rain become too heavy?
Heavier than it was today I can happily say because I did go out, and I did do my ten minutes. And now I feel good because I achieved something.
