School Sunday

Bibles in church

Today was School Sunday. Each year the local church gives a bible to each Year 3 student at the school. Today it was the turn of Miss 7 to get hers. It was a bit of a shock to the system to have to get into school uniform on a Sunday, and there was some rummaging through the ironing basket this morning. The church was a bit more full than is normal, and it was lovely to have a family service with lots of kids contributing and answering the questions.

The talk was about maps; how we get our directions and know which way to go. At one point the reader asked ‘What happens if we don’t have a map?’ The answer according to a nine year old: ‘You have to use your Sat-Nav’. Not quite what he was expecting as a response, I’m sure.
