Good Apples

One of the things I love about living around here is the generosity of friends and neighbours with an oversupply of garden produce. We have had cabbages, cucumbers and broccolli. We have had cob nuts and courgettes. All given to us by friends with productive gardens. At the moment we are in apple season. We do have apple trees in our garden, but they are all cookers or (and I’m not an expert) incredibly sour eaters, so we were delighted when a friend brought us some Worcesters from their tree. They really are delicious! If you are planning on planting an apple tree, this is one variety I can definitely recommend.
