The tree is now up and decorated. The decorations are a mix of bought and homemade by toddlers; cheap and not quite so cheap; much loved and ‘lets not use many of those ones this year’. I stood back and let the kids decorate it this year, although the girls did seem more interested in squirrelling away the decorations to put up in their own rooms later on.
The tree itself was a Woolworths bargain many years ago. Every year it drops more needles than a real one would, so is not quite as full and bushy as it once was. We might be shopping for a new one next year, or even try a real one.
