I have been getting on with lots of little things this week. I have sharpened pencils and sorted out dried up pens. I have fixed a wooden toy truck which has been broken for months, and is now back to full health. I have painted the kitchen ceiling. I have shifted a pile of folders up to the loft. I have thrown out that pile of CDs and DVDs collected from weekend newspapers, which we will never watch or listen to.
All those little things seem so small in themselves, but as a collection of things I have procrastinated over for a long time, the weight lifted once each was done was disproportionately large. This is one habit I really intend to keep up – do the little things.
