I’m sorry, were you expecting a dazzling description of some exciting eatery? We had tea in Victoria Station. Right at the top there is a food court, catering to the fussiest of tastes. Well, it catered for my children, anyway. We had pizza, because that’s the only meal they both agree on. There was an eat all you like buffet, which is ideal for us. Then it was back to Grandma and Grandpa’s.
The next day we just went shopping locally. That in itself was a treat, as we don’t often go out shopping, particularly when there isn’t something specific we need. It was nice to potter around shops with no particular aim in mind, in a shopping centre somewhat larger than any anywhere near where we live. The only restriction was the need to carry everything we bought back home with us, so we didn’t end up buying much. Then it was time to start gathering together our stuff, which had somehow got scattered from one end of the house to the other. It’s amazing how much mess you can create in two days!
