I have never been to Kew Gardens. I do, however, have a ten year old who will make me paper flowers to look at instead:
Miss 10 loves making things, so of course when she saw a photo of a Peruvian Daffodil her first thought was, ‘I can make one of them.’ She really captured the essence of it, particularly the thin white petals which spiral out from the centre.
Instructions for your own set of paper flowers:
- Have a child.
- Make sure your ineptitude at papercraft, combined with a vaguely supportive and encouraging attitude towards it, makes them develop a certain self reliance.
