A Rollercoaster

For a brief while, we thought we had sold our house. A brief while, long enough to receive an offer, think about it overnight, accept it, then be phoned back to say that they didn’t want it after all. It turns out they were juggling two offers at the same time and we were obviously option B.

Having done a second viewing in which they measured up for their furniture, took a list of all our utility bills, and all but pushed me out of the door to get on with looking for our new house, wishing me luck in the search, we were quite hopeful about this one. Not hopeful enough to consider it in the bag, but still. When they finally offered, I really thought that was that. I had hoped that I would be able to give the vacuum cleaner a bit of a rest too!

We are now exactly in the position we were two weeks ago. Nothing lost, nothing gained.  Back to the start again.

It will happen! Just don’t burn out the vacuum cleaner!
