How the Garden Grows

Have a look at our gunnera:

We are so delighted with how this has grown. It is really Mr PC’s gunnera. He chose the little plant. He planted it, and every autumn he has covered it to protect it from the frost. Under his care it has grown and grown. It’s taller than me now!

See how tiny it was two years ago.

Another part of our garden which has grown is the oval flowerbed. This year, instead of worrying what to put in, I desperately need to take some plants out.

This photo was taken a bit too late to see the aquilegia in flower, but you can see how overcrowded it’s getting. And everything new in there has grown from seed. Super full and super cheap! I tell you, you only ever need to buy one aquilegia – they self seed so freely.
